Just thought I would revive this thread and let all the notherners know that I am planning on attending!!! My plan is to leave after work on Friday around 4:00 and riding 3 hours down to Nashville, TN. Then ride 2.5 hours to the track on Saturday morning. For those who have been, what are there heat races or preliminary races on Saturday or should I plan on Sunday if I want to see the racing? I would be game for some riding while I am down there as well and my schedule for the weekend is fairly flexible. I have a small group of guys coming down on bikes and cars (not on VFR's), so if anyone wants to join us for the trip down just let me know. If someone would want to set up a riding, racing, museum tour schedule for the weekend that would be pretty cool!!! Is it worth it to get tickets for both days down there or should I go one day and ride the next?

Great. I am arriving on Friday afternoon, also. Plan to stay through Sunday. I will be looking for your red VFR  Hope to see lots of them!

Here are some links to chew on:

    Official AMA Superbike site: http://www.amasuperbike.com/index.php?UID=HnLGTo5tQZ8QTGsh8drt5oKWyOqs21

    Barber Motorsport race info: http://www.barbermotorsports.com/

    Tickets - you'll save a couple bucks buying them ahead - https://www.southtix.com/ama-superbike-tickets.html

The race weekend is a double header - Superbike, Supersport, Formula Xtreme and Superstock races will be held both days, with practice and qualifying on Friday.

The track is actually located in Leeds, Alabama - it is east of B-Ham proper on I-20. There are still hotel rooms available in the area....I'd be glad to make the arrangements to secure them, but I need some feedback as to what folks are looking for in the way of amenities, and what they are looking to pay, and about how many are thinking of going.

Legs (even though he is currently VFR-less) has volunteered to host a get together at Heart of Dixie H-D. It's located just to the south of town, in Pelham, right beside I-65. They have a really nice pavillion setup, and by then the weather should be cooperative.

As he lives in the area, he has also agreed to lead a ride out. I asked him for a 7 or 8/10ths ride - I intend to visit Birmingham, enjoy myself, and get back home in one piece! Of course, the more, the merrier, but if racetrack speed on the street is your thing, you may want to grab a map and explore the limits of your ability to out run the Constable.

I thought a post race get together might be enjoyable as well - I'm sure I can round up some door prizes to be given away, probably on a goofy basis ( "Ugliest Helmet?" )

Anyway, your input would be appreciated - sound off if you plan to go!

Race day is getting closer. Mobile and Baldwin counties will be represented. I personally know of 4 guys and 1 gal from this part of the state who have plans to be there. Probably there may be many more also that I'm not aware of. Looking forward to a great weekend.
