    mark it 8, dude
it was 4 days of awesome motorcycle everything imaginable

we were there promoting the new ZERO electric bikes. we took 6 zeros to show and ride around the fest. even the harley dudes showed interest in the elect bikes. i heard over and over again from all types that they thought elect was the future path for MC. the amount of interest for elect far exceeded my expectations. riding them around in the crowd was a hoot. of course, you gotta make your own sound effects.

the Motus V-4 guys were 3 spaces down from me with the new bikes. they had 2 there, and were very popular. they looked good, and sound great. any VFR kinda guy will instantly recognize and love the V-4 song it sings. everyone wanted to see them, but were more interested to actually hear them running. they sound great.

the big guzzi gang was nearby, and i gained more respect for yet another italian marque.

it was my 1st time to barber, and it is FANTASTIC. the facility is beautiful, groomed beyond belief, and very well organized to meet every need. i only got to blow thru the museum in about 90 minutes, snapping pics as fast as possible. all the honda V-4 stuff is there proudly on display. i plan a trip back soon to spend the day to really get to take it all in.

the vintage fest itself is nearly unbelievable. pretty much any bike you can think of is there somewhere. if your interest is anything late vintage, either jap or euro, it is available in pretty much any state ranging from basket cases to fully restored. any bike from your formative years was there to drool over and dream about reliving your youth.

i dont know just how many bikes were inside the gates over the WE, but it definitely was thousands upon thousands.

mr barber even brought over a quartet of vintage prop fighters for a good show just above the track and our heads, and the ever popular wall-of-death to wow the crowds. the WOD guys were true carny-ies, with a charlie manson lookalike named Handsome Charlie Ransom zinging around the wall with "look ma, no hands"

paul smart was in the tent next to us for a couple of hours on sat and sun, so i got to meat and talk with him, and get him to sign my hat. a true legend and gentleman.

i managed to keep my wallet closed except for a super cool Bultaco tee-shirt.
