    Howdy,
Does anyone have any info on where a carbon fiber front fender, for a 6th Gen, can be purchased?

I looked for one a while ago, maybe two years ago, couldn't find one anywhere.

I was going to install an f3 front carbon fiber fender on my 94 but when I got it I saw how much I didnt like it. No color for contrast for the wheel and the shape if it was just too wide and flat looking. Sent it back and keeping the original unit.

Try German ebay, ebay.de, and find "vfr carbon"...

There is a seller, who sells carbon front fenders internationally... I already bought one in two days ago, and it's still on the way to me. Because I haven't received it yet, I can't say anything about the quality of it, but picture looks great anyway. Price was 99,00 euros + 17,90 (int. postage).

wow... that is a good find! reasonably priced too considering it is coming from germany. please post up your impressions here when you get it... oh and some pics would be nice too. :)

edit: ah.... i didn't catch that you are in finland. i am sure it is much cheaper to ship there than to the usa. still, i am looking forward to your follow-up post.

Well... I think I was a bit impatient.

I can't speak german well (as english too) and there was note like "alles model". I was thinking that it means "for all models", but it doesn't. I just used Google translator, and seems that it means "for old model".

So, don't buy it yet! Maybe it fit straight to Vtec model too, or you can modificate it a bit, but I'm not sure anymore.

Anyway, I will keep you informed how it goes...

Edit: Correction to postages too. To USA it is 30 euros + possible duties?

I have a guy who comes into our bike shop all the time. He makes carbon fiber parts and they look out of this world. If you are interested, I can get his number and you can negociate your price with him!

    Thanks.
I've gone ahead and ordered an OEM. I may try my hand at fabrication, for a winter project. The fender looks like a real challenge for a beginner, so I may start with that fugly metal plate behind the rear brake assembly.

"Alles Model" does mean all models. I don't know where google got that. "Alt model" would mean old models.

Yep, I got it. It looks great, but it doesn't fit straight. There is a small different in distance of the two screw holes to dampers. Just about 1cm, so it was easy to hide with big washers.

Also, I had to cut/grind it a bit from the part which surrounding the dampers, because I cannot put the fender deep enough without that. I though that I cannot explain which part I mean, but the ear of the upper screwhole in the damper touch a bit to the fender.

There is'nt place for the screws which holds the fender from behind and also the brake tubes - So I replace the original screw on the left side with the bolt and nut. Brake tubes on the right side doesn't need replacing.

    So, now it fits.

I'll try to take few pictures soon.
