Ok folks. I finally got back up to my folks "storage" basement and was able to track down the problem to the kill switch. I jiggled it (like my techno language?!) several times with the key in the on position and noticed that the fuel pump would charge intermittently. So, I kept jiggling it and finally got the fuel pump to stay on and even got it to turn over. phew. I'll take it apart and clean it out this spring. This bike has been amazingly reliable for me, other than the rectifier. Thanks to all again.
