Usually I am not a fan of custom paint, however I really like how that turned out. Very clean looking.

Looks nice man. I like the paint scheme as well. Good job!

Can I make a minor suggestion? You're bar ends look sweet, but the screw holding them in looks like a drywall screw. Can you find a screw that does some justice for the rest of that machine?

Thanks every one nice to hear. I was pleased with the thurn body work, very solid fit with minimal fitting. A few spots in the jel coat needed a sand and then high fill primer, but that is because i wanted it all perfect. I have been looking for some stainless screws for the bar end weights to replace the black anodized steel stock screws. Not as happy with the air tech parts, the fit well but are flimsy, less layers of glass, I got the front fender from there and it was a little thin but it should be ok.

Lets see now. This happened July 17? On reading this for the first time today I was wondering if this was who I thought. I missed your original post or I would have ridden you a little harder CJ. Nice work. We must meet for another ride. We couldn't get to the top of Baker that day cause there was still about 20 feet of snow on the upper road there. Did you hear at all how Bhushan made out with his?

Mine goes in for paint Probably next week. Not too cheap I say.

Hahaha. I believe I remember you. Yeah It has been done for about 3 months, got it out for a ride in October on a nice day the brought it back in the shop at work where I have been working on it ( nice to have a paint booth to paint in and Place to do all the fiberglass). After i rode it decided it might be a good idea to do the frame sliders. What are you having painted on your machine?

All the plastics. My paint is plain worn out from the winter riding. It is amazing how much sand, salt and shit that is kicked up by cars on the freeway every day from Chilliwack to Newton and back. AFter the paint, I hope to get it into Ampco Graphics to do a skin for it. Cheaper than custom paint and if I don't like it, peel it off and I will only be out a couple c notes.

Would you consider fabricating me a solo seat cowl like that for my 1990? I'm super jealous.

Actualy after I got the solo seat cowl 3/4 of the way done I saw the price of the airtech cowl and decided to just go with it. With an extra layer of glass for extra rigidity it worked out nicer cheaper and far faster.

Well CJ. I managed to customize mine last Sunday. A week after I got all the plastics back with fresh shiney new paint. I figure about $2,000.00 in damages. So it is bakc again for more paint and body work. Will be up and running before I am though I think. My damages are cheaper cause I have this neat credit card called the BC Care Card. I should be in the saddle again in a few weeks so will toucch bases and meet you for a brew. I will be retired in a 1 1/2 so have lots of time on my hands.

Well I am happy to see that you were in relatable condition, I am fairly experienced with that neat card you speak off, it is a wonderful thing. I hope your are mended for the arrival of good weather. Such a shame though, especially so soon after paint. We will have to meet for a ride come the good weather.
