Boy do I have a question. I have noticed on my 2002 if your looking at the front headlights and at the bottom left and right of each lens, there is a little circle like out line for what looks like its for another light from inside. Right next to the bottom inside bulb there is a place that looks like maybe some kind of ruining light should be (theres a circle but not drilled out). Is this maybe an option in Europe ? Just thought I'd ask since there are no stupid questions . Thanks

I have wondered the same thing. I wonder if these designs are there to accomodate emergency lights if the bike is used for a Police Bike like they are in some places.

    Excellent question.

You're talking about this little hole right here Duccmann. Dunno if that was used for a European option or not though.

The RC51 has those little holes in it's headlight housings too only they're on the top of the housing and there is a reflector lens in front of them just like on the VFR. There used to be a seller on Ebay who sold miniature LED marker/turn signal light kits for the RC51. Since most guys usually sh*t canned the ugly stock front turn signals and installed flush mount ones on the fairings (myself included) you could basically only see the marker lights and turn signals if you stood on the side of the bike.

With the miniature LED light kit you'd drill out those little holes and glue the LED lights onto the back of the headlight housings then wire the lights into your front turn signal harnesses. With those LED's installed you'd now have visible forward facing marker and turn signal lights.

Since I've got the headlights apart right now on my '03 I was going to install a set of those LED's but it doesn't look like the seller is still on Ebay. Somebody's prolly still out there selling them though.

Edit - Found the website of that Ebay seller Duccmann. Click me.>>>>>http://www.sportbikelites.com/LED-TURN-SIGNALS-s/21.htm

Here's what they look like on my RC51.

Hello, i am from europe and by chance i happend to click to a link and see your question ;)

Yes, it is by law to have a so called city light a small light bulb (read lightsource) to each headlight so bikes shud have @ least 1 or and cars need 2 for each cide 1, this is mandatory because when yur headlight is busted ppl can still see yur little city light if that 1 also doesnt work the police are not forgiving , nor are they when only the city is burning.

    hehe had to reply.... ;D

OK, no worries. I forgot its winter in other parts of the world, not the kind we experience here in Southern California. Just moved back here from Utah after 5 years, and that was one hell of an experience with snow, black ice and waking up to go to work when its 6 degrees out side. The only thing great about that state was Millers race track- Thats it . Thanks
