Hello everybody! I am Oier, from The Basque Country, in Europe (little mountainous country between France and Spain). I am new here and hope to enjoy this site as much as you all do, reading and writting posts about our beloved Honda VFRs. Mine is a red '96, new to me with 84.000 kms on the clock (about 52.000 miles). I have been lurking a long time in different sites, and decided this is the one, so let's go! May I be welcome! I will put pics of my trusty bike soon too!

So I forgot to say that I'm 27 years old and I have been waiting for this bike since I can remember, even if people at my age love more sporty bikes than this piece of art... I love our VFR's sound!

And, of course, sorry for my poor english...

Welcome Oier. Your bike looks like it is in great shape. What's even more rare than your bike is the stock exhaust that you've got on it. Nice find!

Hey, thanks! Yes, I was lucky to find such a great maintained bike, even its 'high' mileage it is in great condition. But, what a hell, if one bike looks like new, that's yours Stewart! Great bike there!

I liked it to have the stock exhaust, I think bike works better in every condition with it than with any aftermarket pipe.

By the way, I think the clutch is starting to make some sort of noise (only when the engine is warm). Does somebody know something about it? I will search in the forum, anyway.

Thanks Oier. I also have a 1986 VF500F and VF1000R in mint condition. I spent almost 10 years finding and restoring the 3 of them.

That has been my experience too. I run stock exhaust on all my bikes and for the older ones, it raises their value by having the originals.
