    Hi all,

Been lurking around here for quite awhile. After 5 years of marriage, I finally got the wife to let me get a bike. I rode for 17 years before we met, but I wasn't riding at that time because I didn't have health insurance. Gave away my precious baby ceptor ('86 VF500F) and have been jones'in for another ever since.

Just bought what appears a great specimen of a 2000 Yellow 5th Gen on consignment at Kawa dealer. Haven't even rode her home because my gear hasn't arrived yet. I'll post pics after I pick her up and add a few mods next week (CAN'T WAIT!!)

This forum has been indispensable and I hope I can give back a 100th of what I've learned over the years I've been dreaming about getting a VFR.

Saw the post admonishing threads without pics so I've added the pic the dealer had. Much more coming when I actually get the bike.

Sweet bike. Congratulations on your negotiating skills. I don't know where you live but I hope you can make it to this years T-Mac ride in Franklin, NC in May.

Part of motorcycling (and life) is learning from the mistakes of others so you don't have to repeat them.

Does anyone really repeat? And just what does repeat mean? Could it be the son of Pete? Welcome. And nice ride. I kinda like the yellows too. I would never admitt that to Drewl though.I think this would really jump out at you if you were to find some way to bump it up a bit with some contrasting black. Try mocking something up with some black electrical tape and see if anything tickles you.
