The 360 is the 'Big Bang' race motor and it's flat and blatty sounding, the 180 has a more rumbling sound.
    As discussed here: http://vfrworld.com/forums/general-vfr-discussions/36756-360-vs-180-why-says-who.html#post336286

While I think the list is cool and has some merit, the best sounding bike would have to be the Yamaha Vmax, especially with supoertrap pipes

I am very lucky, I grew up when racing motorcycles had NO mufflers.

Owned a '77 XS750 with the Wiseco 850 kit and a Kerker pipe. Those bikes howled a beautiful song, they did.

Can't find a link, but a good friend has a Aprilia RSR125 GP bike and it has the weirdest two stroke sound when going around the track. More of a growl mixed with ring/ ding rage.

People usually asskin the pits "What the hell type of two stroke is that"?

I assume you mean the original single cam version. Add a 4 into one. The sweetest sound as it winds out. Only better engine sound I can think of is a Rolls Royce Merlin in a Spitfire. Oops showing my age a bit here.

Still love the sound on my VFR but the CB750....

But it still could not compete against the east germans and their 125 two stroke
