OK OK so here's a newbie question.. I just bought an 02 VFR800.... Love it by the way..

This being said.. Its red, not exactly the best color choice but a great deal from a close friend of mine...

This being said.. I would like to do front and rear fenders in Carbon Fiber..

So far the only website that I have found that has GOOD products is Kotflügel-rc46/2

They only offer a rear fender.. No front..

Can someone on the wonderful VFRWORLD website please point me in the right direction..

Please don't say EBAY.. been looking and no luck..

Thank you all for your time

    Justin

Was it a used one or a new one?

I saw a link to a used CF front fender but it was scratched. Made me wonder how good the quality was to get a nice scratch like that.

Got a link to this FF_carbon place? Can't find it on google.

    Carbon front fender

I found it on E-bay, but the manufacturer has got a website too. Home - F&F Carbon
I ordered yesterday and askad him when the delivery would take place. He answered me this mornig telling me that the fender will be delivered mid january 2012. I suppose that they only produce on demand. It's absolute a new one. I send a picture as soon as i receive the fender.

    Carbon parts VFR 6th generation

    Hi Stoshmonster,

Just checked the website and they do send to other continents than Europe. So the USA is a possibility; They just ask to send an E-mail for the costs of it. You find a contact page on the website. They do understand English. Good Luck !!

Wondering if you received your part yet Tom. If so, how well did it fit? I think that I just purchased some CF pieces from them from someone on VFRD and didn't know this place existed. I've long sought out a place that did the full 6th gen fairing set in CF and these guys are super close. It is just the two side panels that they are missing. I'm seriously contemplating ordering a few more pieces from them, namely the cockpit cover, cockpit side covers, and side panels but want to know how things are panning out with others first.

I ordered the three piece lateral fairing set for my 6th gen. from F&F Carbon in 100% carbon fiber on December 8th Meat and I'm still waiting to receive it.

First they screwed up the billing info on my order then they contacted me about a month and a half after I placed my order and told me that their supplier had somehow screwed up my order and made the fairing set out of carbon fiber and kevlar weave.

Finally they Emailed me again and said my parts are supposed to be arriving sometime during the last week of February. I'll believe it when I see it.

If you decide to order anything from F&F Carbon Meat be prepared to wait.

I think what I lucked out on from VFRD is from them as well. I'm assuming so as I've never seen a majority of the CF pieces offered anywhere else. Leftovers From My 800 - Classifieds - VFR Discussion

If I do order from them I'm more than happy to wait so long as I receive a quality product. I was rather pleased by their prices... expected them to be higher. If you don't mind me asking, how bad did they gig you on shipping Stosh?

LOL! Well THAT only took 5 months.

Back on December 8th 2011 I ordered a three piece lateral fairing set in 100% carbon fiber from F&F Carbon in Germany.

Well after one minor billing info screw up,one major parts supplier screw up,three promised delivery dates that came and went with no parts showing up at my door, and one very embarrassed and apologetic owner at F&F Carbon who graciously offered to refund the $45.00 that I paid for shipping (which by the way I never got) I can finally say WHOO HOO THERE'RE HERE!!! :whoo:

The finish on these carbon fiber pieces is flawless. You would expect no less for the $230.00 price that you pay for them. ($185.00 + $45.00 shipping) Nuff said.

The fit is typical aftermarket carbon fiber, which is to say it's very close but it doesn't quite fit exactly. In this case only the mounting holes for the fasteners needed to be opened up just a tiny little bit. A minute or so of work with a rat-tail jewelers file on those mounting holes and you're good to go. Other than that the panels fit beautifully.

That's not a knock on F&F Carbon either. To be honest there really hasn't been a single piece of aftermarket carbon fiber that I've installed on any of my bikes that fit perfectly straight out of the box. They always seem to need some sort of minor finishing work done on them. It just seems to be the nature of the material.

Sharp eyed VFR enthusiasts will probably notice that the left side cover panel hangs down a bit toward the back of the panel and doesn't seem to line up properly with the rear subframe rail in the first three pics. That's because I don't have the little rubber strap that secures the flip-up battery hinge which that left side cover panel mounts to installed in these pics.

Just wanna give a shout out to forum member TomVFR23 for turning me on to F&F Carbon.
Trials and tribulations aside, these panels were worth the wait my friend.

Okay and now the answer to the question that no doubt all experienced battle hardened 6th gen. VFR800 owners will inevitably be asking me.

Ladies and gentlemen the answer to your question is 1. :mmph:

(Sidenote) For any of you inexperienced newby 6th gen. VFR800 owners and those of you out there in VFRWorldland who have never owned a 6th gen. machine the question that my fellow experienced battle hardened 6th gen. VFR800 owners just asked me was "Hey Stosh,so how many of those %*#^#@ stupid cheap plastic Honda panel fasteners did you manage to break while installing your cool new carbon fiber side cover panels?

Impressive. I may have to seriously look into a few pieces from them now that I have to replace a bunch of things on my freshly laid down VFR...

That's quite the color scheme you've got going on there. Can't wait to see the end result!

Also, thanks for posting those pics. F&F could end up with some new orders now that we've seen the product. Unfortunately, I think I'm cut off on farkles for the year. Aside from suspension I've got all the functionality and performance upgrades I wanted to do finished.
