Thanks for the replies in my last thread. As promised, here are some pics of my new purchase.

It's a 90' VFR750f with 91000 kms. Did all the maintenance today (fluid levels, chain tension/lube, random greasing, new oil/filter, etc) and she seems to be running like a champ. Only thing left would be valve clearance and carb cleaning but that will have to wait for another day. I also had to paint the seat vinyl since it was pretty beat up. Turned out pretty good all in all. The bike was originally Italian Red but has been repainted at one point, not sure when. The paint actually looks very well done and the decals are top notch so I'm happy with it.

I've ordered a few parts for replacement:
    1. New windscreen
    2. New brakes pads (pads are still good but I figure what the hell, I'll just change them out with a fresh set )
    3. New brake/cluth lever since the ones on there seem like they could use a refresh

The only "problem" I have on the bike is that the tach/speedo doesn't light up very well. It seems like a few burned bulbs but I was wondering if there are any LEDs or good quality bulbs that people use to make the instruments more visible at night?

    I like it!

Do the valve check soon. I just did mine at 29k (not sure if it had ever been done) and several were out of spec.

nice looking bike, congrats and welcome to the forum. i might shy away from LED's the are can be supper bright but very directional, in that way you will get "hot spots". my advice would be to remove the bulb clean back side of gauge and if need be install a 5 watt brighter bulb. (5 watts would be less than 450 Milli amps more draw) the other option is to install a ring of L-wire around the outer area of the speedo and tach. my only other advice would be to buy a second voltage reg. (new style with cooling fins for spare to be kept on the bike) and if new style is installed (if not consider replacing) and attach a CPU fan wired to your lenience plate light for aux. cooling.

good luck and have fun with it. best buy i ever made, i love my gen 3.

A clean looking bike you got there Ice. welcome to the forum. But those 8 spoked rear wheels I think really do not do you bike any justice. Send me yours and I will send my better looking 5 spoke to you. Kinda like a welcome gift just from me to you.

really nice...I love the side profile of it. This is how i like bikes to look...I went to a shop recently and looked at brand new hondas and kawas and was a little disappointed at how they looked...Not saying they werent beautiful bikes, but not really that look that i fell in love with when I was younger.
