    Thanks Jose
I sure am a wanker, I believe we all are, and I love it. I used to be able to auto-fellate now that you mention it but my gut has got in the way and my back is not what it used to be when I was 20.
I would think that the only thing on a motorcycle that remotely resembles a clock, if you want to take the word clock that literally, is the instrument cluster so that is why most riders would understand the term clocks, and seeing it's in the plural instead of clock, it would suggest I would not be referring to the digital clock that tells me the time.
Sorry you see my posts as egocentric and offensive but as a musician/metal head/1%er biker, I may come across as a bit aggressive sometimes but I don't mean to offend anyone, I was just looking for some straight answers. I can't read half of the posts as your big pictures are covering the text. Very entertaining and I'm beginning to really fall in love with you guys.
    Thanks

I gave you a thanks Simon. I'm sure it made your day.

    1. Although I don't think the shit head remark was necessary, I generally think that calling someone a shit head is pretty funny. Too many people get called mother fuckers and douche bags these days. Its good to get back to the basics.

    2. Bringing up a GWAR reference or comparison is no easy task. Well played.

Ok, Simon. That is a much more constructive response and I am pleased to see you took my comments with a grain of salt. :fencing:

I will take a look at that wiring diagram myself, put my monkey brain to work and see if I can't help guess at where the interlock or cutoff relay is putting the kaibosh on the ignition.

not everyone keeps track of exactly which designation applies to exactly which models and years, many don't even care. If you know the year and model of the bike, it is enough to accomplish most things. Most of us will never use the other designation. If you are asking a question and requesting help, why not be as obvious and simple as possible?

no, it absolutedly is not worldwide and universal. For you to think any slang is "worldwide and universal" is just silly, ignorant, ethnocentric, and arrogant. Even the standard words for things aren't worldwide and universal, even in countries that have the "same" language. Around here, I often hear of it referred to as a dash, guages or guage cluster; I think the only time I reguarly hear/see "clocks" is in the british bike mag I used to get. Although I have heard and/or read of the odometer being referred to as a clock.

no one was trying to "wind you up", as you say; just stating their impressions of your posting.

Many people were so put off by your posting, that they simply didn't care to respond at all. Even if someone had done it previously on their bike, there are often rather arcane differences from model year to model year and from one build market to another -- especially on things like wiring due to differing regulations. So saying your exact model and year would have been a BIG help, as was what market it was built for. There are likely some changes from 94-97.

You could absolutedly expect to get help on here, more than a few have. But you have to give the full information, and perhaps be a little polite -- or at least don't act like a giant ASS.

I would never ever drink a light beer, or listen to either of those bands. but to each their own.

    Hey Spike
Why don't you go and fuck your hand bud
You made me so bored with your pointless rant, I almost puked.
Now shut up and go back to the golf club in your Nissan Micra
I'm not even going to try and explain anything to you, you are obviously just dumb and do you even own a bike or own any tools.
Just as this thread came right you have gone and fucked it up. You will not be receiving a thanks from me. You are a chop.

Take a few weeks away from the forum and come back to an international incident.
So things about going as normal then.

In the USA the term "clock" generally refers to the odometer, by virtue of it being what counts up and does not (hopefully) count backward. The slang phrase usually goes something like "it has sixteen thousand miles on the clock" to refer to the miles. I have heard "clocks" mentioned in the past by a friend from New Zealand who is a bike rider, but such terms are certainly not universal or global. Instrument Cluster is the only universal term I am aware of, with the instrument cluster containing "gauges".
