What if there were no VFR's?

One of these..... Ducati Multistrada 1200 ST, Honda ST 1300, BMW F800 ST, S1200RT or maybe the K1300S.

I discovered VFRs totally by accident. I was at a Honda Homecoming event and I wanted to ride some other bike, I dont remember. But all those were booked and they only had a couple '93 VFRs available to test ride so I signed up. Um, needless to say, I was blown away. That started my now permanent VFR lust. Geez I would be on CBRs or FJRs or GWs even - who knows?

My bike always had to be the Gen 5..

Based on the price I paid (and age) I would choose either the Yamaha TRX 850 or a Ducati 906 paso (if I want to look at it more than ride it).

    I'd also consider a hornet 900 :)

No VFR, I'd get a bus pass. Or an Aprilia RSV4. Way different from a VFR but great looking bike with a V4. The Tuono is tempting but I like fairings.

Ducati Multistrada 1200S, Suzuki Hayabusa, if i need speed then a Erik Buell Racing 1190RS (look it up!) or a BMW S1000RR in Red White and Blue of course!

I'd still have one bike or I'd still be looking for a Kawasaki Concours, which is what I was looking for when I came across the VFR.

As much as I love the new V4 Tuono especially in Yellow/Black with its short range of 90 to max 125 miles its not a viable VFR alternative for me, I wouldn't mind ST'ing the Crossplane R1 at least they sound like a VFR with the right pipes and have had a few owners tell me when Touring they are pretty comfortable for a Superbike and have a 175+mile range if not playing hard.

I think I would like to try a naked next, so maybe a Streetfighter, Speed Triple or Superduke. Love the Tuono but after seeing it in the flesh I think it would be too small for a taller rider. Still not a huge i4 fan compared to V-Twins & V4's. Fortunately they did make the VFR & I have no cash so it all worked out well

Yeah, an Akrapovic system makes them sing and they are a surprisingly comfortable bike.

Easy question. I'd be on a CBR1000RR. I've owned Suzuki Yamaha & Honda. IMO Honda is the most reliable!

We've seen this question in different forms.. "if you could only have one..." or "..if price were no object..."

    I like these.

Riding it is a whole different story! With my bad back, I'd probably end up breaking my C5 vertebrae.
