Just curious what some of you other folks are paying.

I just renewed my bike registration. $65 plus a $2 "convenience fee" of using the internet. Shouldn't they be discounting my registration by $2 for not tying up a person at a window of the motor vehicle commission? Sons of bitches...

$65 seems a little steep for a bike, especially considering some of the tolls we have in state (NJ Turnpike, Garden State Parkway, Port Authority of NY and NJ).

I think I pay $46+/- for each car (2), and $86 for my truck. My boat is $32, and then they whack me for another $28 for the trailer.

Jeebus dude.....quite your bitchin'! That is pennies compared to what we pay for cars (and a lot of bikes) in CA. Do you expect a BJ from a hot girl for the privilege of having you drive your car on the roads of the state of NJ?

Seems reasonable; but it will vary significantly depending on your location. I just paid $85 to register my VFR; but then I have no toll roads within a 100 miles. '98 Audi is about the same, '07 Mariner is more, other bikes are in the same ballpark. My utility trailer is 10 bucks every two years.

As a matter of fact, yes. I DO expect a BJ from a hot girl!

And besides, you have residences in LA AND UTAH?? You're rolling in it, kid! lol

Seriously though, not bitchin. Just wondering what folks pay. I only pointed out my cars/boat, because I find it interesting that NJ charges more for a motorcycle, versus say my boat/trailer, which is 26 feet from the prop to the hitch on the trailer.

@ Footyhill - See, $85 seems reasonable to me considering what you said - no tolls within 100 miles or so.

I know someone with a 2001 VFR and they paid $95 or so this year in CA. Have not paid mine yet, but I think it is gonna be around 100 or so. Cars/Trucks less than 5 years old are most times always in the high 180 to 250+ range in CA. Depends on value of the car.

Sounds like you have a steal out there in NJ!

I think I paid 400.00 plus when I first registered my bike In Cali... (the 86) that was splitting the back fee's which I don't really think I should have had to pay but that is a different story).... then I have paid 75 bucks a year for it since. it is not registered in new york yet (still in peices).. but it shouldn't be more than 60 bucks

Renewal fees in Ogeron: $43.00/2yrs. One exception is one county that adds a fee. Keeps the politicians well fed.

New York State is the land of taxes, but the motorcycle registration fee is pretty cheap. I have all 4 of my bikes registered and the cost of that with custom plates for each bike is only $157.50 a year. Without the custom plates, it would be under $100. I can't complain.
