Brought home the 02 VFR today. It is as good as everybody said. I took it on a 40 mile test ride and that was all it took. Rode it 20 miles back home and then had to make sure it still ran OK with a 40 mile ride after dinner.

Mine is stock except for a Corbin seat, just under 10k miles, red of course. Given that I am 6'1" 245# I was pleasantly surprised how well I fit. Windscreen flow hits about mid-chest with quiet air above. I even think I'll be able to live with the stock peg placement. I have however already put in an order for the Heli-bars. No pix until Saturday as I promised (bribed?) my wife with a car trip up to Glacier NP for lunch over in St. Mary.

Since it looks like I'll be staying around I updated my profile with a pic that might explain my nom de internet. Thanks again for all of the info and encouragement.

ETA Ack, can't seem to get the pic uploaded. Oh well, cut a newbie some slack.

ETA2 Well the internet gods seem to have cooperated. Pic is back.

    I love being right.

    I don't remember saying anything.

    But I'll take it anyway.

See the last line in the second paragraph. I've already been warned to expect no mercy re: pix.

Congrats and welcome. Live with your baby a while and then make changes gradually until you get what you want............you know, the way your wife molded you into the man she wanted even though you were perfect before you got married.

You've chosen wisely. Enjoy the many miles. And lunch with your wife.

Congrats on the new bike. Good thing you doubled up on the road test. Sometimes, you even have to triple check it runs fine. Then just to be absolutely sure, you sometimes have to go out into the garage at night and look at it, sit on it, check all the little parts on it. Remember to say something like "I was checking the circuit breakers" when your wife comes out and catches you and asks what you're doing.

    Nice beetle by the way.
