Hey guys, before I ebay these, can anyone tell me what a good set of wheels off my 2004 VFR800 are worth?

The guy I bought my VFR from threw in a set of wheels. I liked the extra set more than the set that were on the bike so I swapped over. There is nothing wrong with these wheels that I took off the bike other than them in need of a refinish. The rear wheel is almost perfect(some small scratches) but the front wont come with rotors(transferred to other wheels) and has scratches.

What are these worth as I have no clue.

I'll take them off your hands for $50. Pay no attention to the classifieds when I relist them.

J/K - I have no idea what they're worth. Good luck with your sale though.

    Here me out.
From what I've seen VFR rims are crazy expensive on feebay.
Since you got them for free, why not get them chromed or powder coated? Then sell you can sell them for more.
If not, I want to outbid Pliskin to $51.

Bought a set of VFR wheels for $50.

I've sold a polished rear wheel on eBay auction for $165 shipped.

Most eBay "buy it now" are priced after a hit on the crack pipe.

I think the key to getting good bids is to spin your wheels on a balancer measuring axial & radial runout listing the results in your ad compared with the service manual spec.

Thanks for the reply guys. I agree in that some of the prices on ebay are insane. I'm gonna clean/scuff and respray these and see what they'll bring.

I have been keeping my eyes open on Ebay for a long time for an extra set for my 6th Gen. Seems most people have been asking around $200-$250 per wheel and that's just the minimum bid. I think that is way too much so I kept looking and eventually found a front wheel by itself for $100 + shipping. I just missed a good deal on a front wheel a few months ago that sold on Ebay for under $60 so I know they can be found for cheap if you are persistent and not in a hurry. I think an honest fair price would be somewhere in the $250-300 range for both wheels as is.

I would say $225 for the rear and $200 for the front as they sit would be fair. I recently sold a rear for $130 but it was quite sad.
