    Hey guys,

I am replacing my center stand because part you stand on appears to be bent down and will sometimes teeter between the foot and the part you step down on. I am already aware of the backwards bolt on the rh side and am ready to "Loosen" the header pipe bolts and try to sneak the bolt out when I change the stand.

The 2 questions I have are do I need to loosen the front and rear header bolts or just the front pipes the bolt on the top of the catalyst and 2 clamps behind the shield or do i have to remove the rear header bolts as well?

Do the header gaskets have to be replaced?

    Thank you for your insight!

    Doug

in regards to the second question, HIGHLY recommended. They are essentially soft/copper crush washers. Reusing old gaskets almost guarantees an exhaust leak.

You can leave the 2 rear header pipes bolted to the head, but if you loosen the front header pipes its best to remove and replace the front header crush washers.
The sliding gaskets at the rear junction should be OK if you are careful.
