I wonder if Ricor makes intiminators for the 500. Similar concept but the are a drop in item with no disassembly or drilling required.

I put them on my DR650 and was pleased.

Race Tech makes kits if you want to do the work or you could send your forks to them, if you want to use emulators you will want a new single rate spring.
It will cost a few quid though.

I've used the RaceTech emulators in my SV650, and they are a huge improvement over the fixed orifice OEM design. The only downside is removing them for tuning, if you feel the need to do so. It's easy enough to make a tool or use a magnetic wand to remove them if you leave the forks on the bike, but it is kind of messy. Or it could be that I'm just kind of a slob.

^ +1 That's what I currently have in the SV, and I do like them more than the R/T emulators. The R/T seemed to have a bit more control in aggressive cornering (my version of "aggressive", that is), but the Intiminators give a more comfortable ride in general.

I'm not seeing the Honda V4's on their list. List could be outdated or this guy could be the first :)

I would drop them in my VFR when the money and the product is available. I was really on the fence between which option to put in the DR and figured it's always easier to start with the one that requires no modifications and sell them to someone else if they turned out to be a bad fit for me.

It's kind of funny, when I think about the mods to the SV suspension. At one point, I had two extra sets of aftermarket fork springs and one extra rear shock lying around the garage (besides the stock components, which aren't worth their weight in gravity). I did end up eventually selling them, as I was happy with the setup and was done experimenting. Then the Intiminators came up for sale on the SV board, so I bought them to try. Now I have an extra set of emulators and a bunch of miscellaneous containers of various weight fork oil taking up space.

    I guess it never stops.

Pretty much what I was saying with post 7. Websites seem to be the last thing that gets updated unless it's an Internet business so I wouldn't trust it without a call or email.

It's not like Honda damping rod fork tubes are special technology compared to others. It's just figuring out the valve stack and blow off spring.
