I'm thinking about getting a pair of these:

Lockhart Phillips USA - LP USA Sportbike Razor Short Stalk Led Turn Signal Black/Clear Lens

for my '86. I'm taking the givi wingrack off, and it has integrated turn signals. My stock signals were donated to my wife's hawk to replace hers at some point in the past. (yay honda parts bin).

I'd like to get LED turn signals, and to get the brightest ones I can get. Smaller housing than stock would be nice, but it needs to be very visible.

    Thanks.

If you are VERY serious about your turn signals, then you need to look at Rizoma.

Rizoma Action Turn Signal - Motostrano.com

However, you will have to pay like you are very serious about your turn signals.

I have been eyeballing the Zero 11's something fierce. That is my kind of de-dumbo.

am not using the same ones. I have a similar style on my DR650. They are not the LED but a 7w bulb. I'm happy with the visibility.

license plate mount and you can see them here:

purchased from this ebay seller ~$20 shipped. figured it was cheap enough to try out. The bulbs are not servicable but on the dual sport I'll probably break them before the bulbs go bad.

You'll probably like those LED models, go for it!

I wonder if that outfit will really sell you one LED turnsignal.. ? Kind of typical Italian customer service policy.. "You bought it now fuck off."

$38/ea? spensive. $38 for the pair and I'd have gone for it. OTOH, from the videos that I've found on YouTube, these are incredibly bright. $80 seems cheap for good visibility in heavy traffic.

How bout just hooking up some LED Xmas lights in an arrow pattern and hotglue them to your fairing. Ten bucks for a whole string at Walmart..

Just think what could be done with fifty bucks worth.

Badbilly, I'm not THAT much of a function over form sort of person (I certainly wouldn't have a VFR if I did). And frankly, how could you do something so ugly to such a nice bike as a VFR?

I couldn't, at least to my bikes. I think it fair to cater to the dudes in the cheap seats though.

I understand where you're coming from, but I figure if they're that cheap, they shouldn't be on a vfr (too expensive to find parts).

Although digging through the parts bin in the garage I found a pair of LP turnsignals (non-led kind). They'll do temporarily, while I decide on if I'm going to get the rizoma zero 11's or not, because I do really like them, just not sure that they're worth $80 for a pair to me.

If your heart and wallet are set on those particular items, then by all means buy them. If not, look on the net some more.
