    Hello all,

Have done a little search but results are varied so was wondering if anybody can recommend a higher windscreen for a VFR 800?

Honda have said that they do one but I am unsure what it will look like or if it will do the trick. Have been told it will be £149.

The reason I wanna change it is that the standard screen deflects the wind directly into my neck, which is fine for the summer but in the winter it blows very very cold air straight down the back of my jacket, despite how many scarves or chill blocking bits of clothing I use.

As always, any opinions gratefully received.

    James

Zero Gravity (and I think Puig) make touring windscreens.

I have the standard Puig screen and at 5'10" the wind now hits right at visor level on my helmet, and when I crouch a little, it's deflected over my helmet completly.

    Food for thought.

    Thanks Guj

I am 6ft so the Puig one may not be much of an improvement on what I already have.

Perhaps the Zero G one would be the ticket.

Do you know anybody who has one of those fitted?

I have an '09 that I fitted with the GIVI Touring wind screen which helped put the air at about eye level. I am 5'8" so this one may not work for you either. I would look into the MRA product line as they have one that also has an adjustable deflector that mounts to the top of the wind screen. I believe they are manufactured in Germany but if you go to Twisted (MRA VarioTouringScreen Windshield for Honda VFR800 VTEC Interceptor, '02- - TwistedThrottle.com) they have a decent selection of other windscreens that might help you decide.

    Cheers

Air blade are available in the UK, Puig racing (double bubble), givi, vario are bigger overseas and powerbronze.

All make a decent screen for the vfr. Issue with rasng is that it could hit you higher in the lid rather than going over and cause unwanted fatigue and or buffeting.
The vario allows you to tune the air flow to some extent but is probably the most expensive. I like puig racing and they make a touring height as well $75US give or take a few.

    Good luck in your search

I'm 6'2" and I've been very happy with my Zero Gravity. Wind hits about the center of my visor when sitting upright (I have gen-mar bar risers) and hops right up over my helmet. This works out pretty nicely so I'm not in the obnoxious turbulence under the screen, but I get no chin/chest blast either, and I can tuck in without much effort.

I've heard good things about Laminar Lip's add-ons too, but they're a bit pricey.
