alternative front ends

    anyone had any experience at swapping any alternative honda front end over to a VFR (mine is a 1997 - 4th gen)

    I was thinking that a pre 2000 fireblade or any year VTR 1000 Firestorm would be a good candidate ?

    Thoughts anyone ?

    Hello!

    I'm also thinking about changing my 4th gen front suspension, just got a bargain deal on a '95 FZR 1000 complete front...

    I think pre 2000 blade front end with minor adjustments will fit...

    Is the post 2000 blade front end (USD) not an option for you?

    It would look great!

    I was looking for a 929/954 front end, but here in Portugal they are still very expensive.

    Do you need a full swap, or just upgrade the stock?

    well, I think he'd prob get a bit better front end by swapping to something more modern, Guj. I'm not even sure it wouldn't be cheaper since you might be able to find one off a bike that got rear end totalled or something like that. There have been several different front ends used on the fourth gen. I believe I have seen both a GSXR swap and a CBR 900 swap, but it's been a long time.
