    Hi all,
Winter approaching and i'm looking to spend some time sorting the bike.

A few jobs need doing including the front end. I want to put a set of USD forks on it but I'm concerned about matching the front wheel and possibly calipers.

I dont mind changing calipers too but still want to keep the front wheel.

Has anyone done this conversion? I've heard a Fireblade is a near swap.

    Thanks

i dont think theres an easy swap that keeps the original front wheel. usually takes some machining for spacer or axle issues. cbr 929 or 954 front ends are easy direct swaps but you have to use the complete fronts. rims wont match but there are other benefits that make it worthwhile

Thanks for that. Sorry if this sounds naeve but if I change the whole thing, will I be able to keep top and bottom yokes or will they need changing too?

You have to change both yokes because the diameter is not the same...use the 929/954 yokes.
