I have to replace the rear tyre and 170/60/ZR17 is not available in India. The only available tyre is 'Michelin Pilot Road 2 180/70/ZR17'. Please guide me, will it fit on my VFR750 RC36

The tire should fit no problems.

    On a side note:
How/from where did you import the VFR to India. I have been toying with the idea of bringing one over there from the USA for using when visiting. I thought about taking apart a 5th gen taking it there as parts and assembling it there. Can you tell how much you had to pay for taxes and what hoops you had to go through to get it registered with the RTO. From your name I am taking a wild guess you are in Kerala. I grew up in Kerala. I am actually visiting India for a month; leaving this Monday. I plan to tour the country on a bike on my next visit and wanted to figure out the importing stuff this visit.

I would be more interested in the "Curry Goat Connection" sorry, my stomach over-rides the bike stuff sometimes. Kidding aside, You should have a 5.5 inch rim on the rear and you can run a nice 180 55 70 profile tyre of your choice....Cheers, and happy riding :drinkers:

A 180/70/17 would be a tall tire. As mentioned above, I have a 180/55/17 and it works great.
