My 6th gen is the asphalt color. Basically, a flat black, but could be called a really dark grey. The rub is that parts of the bike are aluminum colored. The part of the frame that shows below the tank, the pegs, the passenger pegs are all aluminum. I don't care for the contrast. Something with a little less contrast like a grey might be alright. I just don't care for the aluminum color. Not sure going straight black might not be good.

Then, I noticed those silly chromed mufflers. Really? They chromed them? I also noticed that most of what I am looking at is actually a heat shield. Wonder if I could do a carbon wrap on the heat shields and make it look better?

    Thoughts?

I saw that thread and really like the look. If my bike was scuffed up, I'd certainly like to do that. But I like the asphalt finish just fine and it's in excellent shape. I just don't like the aluminum and chrome. I found another thread where someone used CF vinyl on the heat shields of the exhaust and flat black high temp on the cans. Looked awesome. I think I'm going to give that a shot. Probably going to go with dark grey on the aluminum. My wrap some parts in CF to see how it looks.
