Well the title says it all, got one off EB cheap for my gen 5 and it doesn't have any tabs at all for the fairing groove slots. Not sure what will happen at higher speeds.
    Anyone use one?
    Shoulda known.

Monster, thanks for the information. I do like the design, but no riding with it yet. Now in NH 17F. Snow/ ice. No problem with vibs or etc because of the non-connection with the fairing up front?
    Cheers !

    Nope,none at all.

You know when you think about it SinNH logic would dictate that those missing forward hooks should make the windscreen somewhat problematic, but the reality is on the Chinese made windscreen that I used on my 6th gen. '03 those missing hooks were a complete non-issue.
If I had to hazard a guess I'd say that a lot of that prolly had to do with the thickness and stiffness of the plastic that was used.

The windscreen itself performed flawlessly. Only the unsightly gaps in the body lines on the upper cowling where it didn't quite fit properly killed it for me. Otherwise yeah I'd prolly still be using it because it worked well enough, the tinting on it gave a whole new meaning to the term "Dark Smoke",and I really liked the broad flat profile shape along the top edge of the windscreen.

no one should purchase any Chinese products without expecting some quality issues.

chinese quality declined to a bare minimum since the end of the Ming dynasty.

you pay cheap, you get trash !@!

    as Squirrel said -

I paid over a $100 for an english made double bubble & it is stunning fitwise & quality wise - well worth the extra $70 over a chinese one

best avoid there metal products too - I have had no end of problems with water pumps coming out of China over the last 10 years - when they smelt old car bodies down, they aint taking out speakers & the magnets from them are going into the metal mix - I can run a magnet over Chinese made stainless steel pump wet ends & the magnets stick !!!!!!! - piss poor foundry practices - but hey, they will get it right some decade soon - Japan did in the 1930s with the raw steel we sent from australia so the chines eventually will too)

I got a China-Crap wind-screen for my gen 3 and it last less than a year before the coners near the head-light broke. Its basically as bad as their scooters wiring and other parts. Only thing good about china is the food, and thats when you eat it in China-Town NYC...

The wind-screen was cheap too, think it was $15.00 shipped. Kinda hard to turn that down, but still garbarge...

Now I got a Skid-Marx screen and its nice, good optics, you can look thru the light smoked screen and still see where your going....good fit and finish too...
