Hey guys I'd appreciate your help on this.
I have a new 92 VFR750 and it has a strange sounding vibration that starts over 5000 rpm.
It sounds like it's coming from the tank.

    Any ideas?

Start at the tank and start removing things till you find what is loose.

    Squirrel is blamed.....

or a mouse or rat, but it's sheer prejudice ! how ofter do squirrels get blamed for electrical outages when poor maintenance or out-dated equipment is actually at fault???? never mind !

    500 rpms or 5000 ??

most likely cause of the unwanted vibes is missing "buffers," an inch-long bit of rubber on each side between the fuel tank and the frame. they usually fall off when the tank is lifted for maintenance.

Maybe you're in too high a gear ?? If you go full throttle at only 5000, you need to be in a low gear or you're lugging the engine.

The 3rd gen has a known resonance that is heard/felt in the fuel cap at that rpm range. The foot peg plates have a heavy piece of metal bolted onto the back sides that may have been honda's attempt to damp out the vibration--it seems to get worse if you remove those weights.

it's the rubber boots/bumpers that isolate the front of the tank from the frame. check em out, they are either dead or going to die. They are like mini skateboard wheels
