I haven't been here in a few months, Between Life, Work, & an OT Project, it just hasn't been in the cards.
I have had a 48 dodge truck stored at a friends, & he asked me to either start working on it, or find someplace else to store it ( can't blame him as it had been in his way for 2 yrs. ). So I have been working on the truck when I can, instead of my ole girl.
Speaking of my ole girl, she is doing well, & I have had her out on the roads a few tymes this winter as weather permits.

How about a courtesy pic of the truck? Lots of us love older vehicles whether they have 2 or 4 wheels.

    Ok here you go:
I started out wanting to do a restro-rod (Restore the body & update the drivetrain), But In the end I decided to go full custom. I started out doing a 3 in chop, then split the cab & set it on a 1994 Dodge Dakota chassi & floorpan. I stretched the cab 27 inches in total. She will be all Dodge, with the exception of the engine which will be a Cummins Diesel.

Never seen one of those before. I can't imagine how good it looks once she is restored.. You should make a new thread with documenting the progress.

Nice. I wished I had a shop suitable for such a larger project. I have two late 40's early 50's vintage Mercury PU trucks that could be available to me back in south west Manitoba in a cousin's farm field that are very restartable but I don't have the place to work on them. Need lots of space cause this would be a learning process for me as well.

The guys who occupy the shop next to mine build hot rods of all sorts and though I have always wanted to resurrect a timeless classic (a 68 or 69 Charger would be my project of choice) I am sadly lacking in the skills department, especially one that seems to be a basic requirement - welding. Very nice job on the truck and good luck with your current project.
