My name is Justin Hanson. I just picked this up last Thursday, and I have only gotten it out 1 time since purchase. The bike is an 07. It's very crappy weather up here in South Dakota right now. Should warm up in a week or two! Going to be doing some small mods like hooking up the other pipe on the Two Brothers exhaust, and adding the factory hard bags for long trips etc. Been a gear head my whole life so I will definitely be making this more MY bike soon!

One quick pick, this thing is DIRTY in this pic, but I'll get her cleaned up nice!

Very Nice and welcome to the Forum and to the world of the VFR. Unless you have been here or there before, in which case welcome back.. :)

The red on your bike has got to be one of the nicest colors I think Honda has come up with. Very rich looking compared to the common fire engine-ish red VFR of old...............like mine.

Thanks, I actually wanted to get the anniversary edition, but couldn't find one with the right miles, price, and condition. This was actually a local guy, one owner, in his 40's. I'm only into this bike for $5500, so I think I did pretty good.

I've only gotten to ride it once for any real length of time, but have ridden one before and just loved it. between the looks and how nice this thing goes down the interstate this is a tough to beat. There really aren't any nice twisty roads around here to take advantage of the handling capabilities unless I ride 3-5 hours in any direction. This pretty much makes most rockets good for only one thing, and going down the straight bumpy roads on a CBR just isn't that appealing.

I wanted get the newer vfr1200, but I'm going to wait for now. Still a little more than what I want to spend on a toy that only gets used 4-6 months out of the year...

Either way, I've been lurking around for a couple of weeks. I like the place. Good info and people from the looks of things. Rare in an internet forum these days...

    Best,

    Justin

I've got the RWB, but I've always liked this color of red. The OEM cases are a great addition. I think I paid less than $800 for them so let me know if you want the link. An absolute must for this bike is a PCV. You will grow very tired of the lousy stock FI mapping. Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

Zoom-zoom, one of the only things I don't like about the 5th-gen in comparison to the 4th is the red color. The 4th-gen was a slightly deeper red with metalflake mixed in, and it looked absolutely stunning when clean. The 5th-gen red just doesn't "pop" like that one did.

So I only ride maybe a mile, but I have been riding to and from work all week in 8-25 degree weather and love it so far. Can't wait to actually get out and ride a bit!!!
