no problem with wind noise in my Shoei Q West at any speed...and i don't listen to the music too loud..i've used the phone at over 100 mph...i've experimented with all kinds of ear buds over the years and the G4 is the first thing that i will use on a regular basis

Ishark, do you place yours between the liner and helmet or liner and ear?

i took a piece of stiff foam and cut it to the approx diameter and thick enough to fill the recess in my Shoei QWest...velcro the foam block to liner and then velcro the speaker to block...then with the helmet on, move it around with your hands until you hear the best bass response and then adjust the placement of the spkr on the velcro until you get them right...takes a few adjustments to get it right...sounds as good as anything else and you never have to think about it, the helmet comes on and off without feeling them ..

Thanks Ishark, I'm gonna give that a try, I've always had mine inside the liner.

I use the Shure ear buds also. I don't know the model number, but I paid $120 about 4 years ago. They have been great and comfortable on long trips up to 5 hours. They block all of the wind noise on both of my Shoei helmets (RF1000 and 1100). I have a 4 gig Sony Walkman that stays in my jacket pocket.
