I've read through the forums for many years. I just retired in August of 2012 for the military. Today I walked into my garage and found myself pacing and depressed. I suffer from PMS or parked motorcycle syndrome. I immediately decided to get onto vfr world and get my dose of get right. So good morning all. If anyone else is suffering like I am let me know. Also I am looking for individuals in wyoming who might want to plan a few rides in the summer state wide. I have to give thanks to the owner and admin of vfr world for suggesting the lowering kit for my vfr and the givi setup for my hard bags. The wife loves them..

Welcome to the WORLD and don't forget to post up some pics of your new ride, OR is it an OLD ride. Since you have been lurking in the shadows awaiting your chance to post for the first time, hmmmmmm, you could be a poser........... :) who says he has a VFR. LOL

Being north of your border, most of us Canadians are likely still a couple weeks away from our inaugural rides of the season so we share in your syndrome. Hopefully riding season is quickly upon you and keep her shiny side up.

I'll sort of be out that way in early August for Sturgis (week before "HarleyDood Fest").

zoom-zoom says most. But not all. I retired about the same time you did and am about to retire from retirement. Soon I hope anyways. Retirement is not for everyone. Welcome to the forum and post up pix of you baby ASAP.

Last summer the wife and I spent a week or so in your neck of the woods, mostly in Yellowstone but also through the north east. Nice to get around and see this country, both of them actually.

Ill post pics later today. The weather is nice enough I might actually get a ride in. If anyone heads this way in the summer hit me up. Thanks for the warm welcome.

    Nice, clean looking bike there!

I'm also up north here and we still have snow on the ground as I look out my window.... Yeah, it's sad. I start the old girl up and listen to that wonderful V4 / gear driven cams sound, that gives me my fix for a short while.

Congratulations on your retirement. I'm currently serving in the Canadian Forces, 3 1/2 years to go for me!

Lovely tidy Bike Jayzdozen. Ive been thinking it might be sensible for me to get some lowering links for my Gen 6 (Im on tippy toes when stationary) but I didn't want to compromise the ride. Sounds like you found them a good thing. I'd love to hear your experience with them and where you got them. How far did they lower the seat height? Do you slide the forks further up the triple clamps too? And does it ride differently at speed? Sorry about all the questions!

I ordered the entire kit from sigmacycles.com. It dropped the ride height 1.5 inches. Rather than putting the kit on myself I had my buddy who owns a local bike shop do the work as a favor payback. As far as the ride it changed only one thing. I can't lean into the corners as much with my givi setup on. I almost scrapped a side bag off. I go fast in the twisties. Other than that the ride I personally think from a vertically challenged perspective is the ride is better than before. Props to sigma cycles for a great product.

Thank you very much for that. You know. In my 28 years as a Peace Officer, I never knowingly wrote a ticket to a Member of our Armed Forces. That just was not happening. Wrote a couple of my own though but never had a choice Stay safe my man.

Thanks for serving as a peace officer randy. I try to stay as safe as I can but there's that teen inside of me sometimes that just can't resist. After I do it I go change my pants and ask myself wtf were you thinking.

Just so you all know, when I say stay safe, I don't want you all to run away to some monastery in northern Tibet and become Monks!
