Speedometers

Hi all,

After moving to Sweden from the UK i treated myself to an '07 VFR 800 VTEC. Had a UK spec one before so i knew what i was buying.

Here's the problem, the Swedish model only displays the speed in KPH with no facility to change it into MPH with a push of a button (as on UK models), so does anyone know if there is a software update available that would cure this?

I've talked to my local Honda dealer here in Sweden and they've passed the problem onto Japan but that could take a while

You might be able to accomplish this using a SpeedoHealer. I know it converts between KPH and MPH. From reading the documentation, it didn't mention anything about being dependent on the display. You set the option on the SpeedoHealer itself and I believe it just sends the proper speed value to your display.

As to the Speedo Healer, not heard of that before so any clues where i can find out more would be appreciated. I still think Honda can fix this as i know they have a tool they can plug into the bike where they can upload the software, the trick is to get them to see sense and add it. Might have to complain to Honda in Japan and see where it gets me lol
