Hi, new to the forum, and vfr's. my bike is a 2000 with 40k and i love it already!! The bike came with a givi wingrack 2, i want to get this fitted but have no instructions, it looks pretty easy my only worry was how i bolt the end that goes to the rear footrest, do i swap the bolt over if so does anyone know the size of bolt so i can get some before i start fiting it thanks in advance, first of many quastions !! lol

Folks on here really like people to post up pictures of their new ride in their first post so if you don't want grief, upload a picture of your VFR soon. As for instructions, this site has most of the versions listed here... GIVI.CA - Mounting INSTRUCTIONS At a guess the mounting procedure will be pretty much the same for all the 800 series bikes, so the following instructions for an 02 vtec should work... http://old.itlcanada.com/internal2/instructions/fiches/076y166.pdf I have the OEM rack on my VFR so can't be certain, but it looks like they expect you to reuse the existing foot-rest bolt. A few suggestions (1) assemble everything very loose until you have got all the fixings lined up and started - only then tighten them up, (2) check the bolts again after one hours riding - as things can shake loose, (3) apply a tiny amount of thread lock to any bolts you don't want coming loose - but don't be tempted to put too much on, otherwise the head may round out and you may need to drill them off if you ever need to remove the rack :frusty:.
