Hello all, been a member of VFR discussion forum, but look at this site also. Here is an update of my recent purchase and build from other forum.

I got lucky for $600 picked up a Honda interceptor.. I ride to pick up the bike plastics are in really bad shape. the bike would start with starter fluid. the guy said maybe I should change the gas obviously didn't know much about carburetors. the bike has 55,000 miles with a engine in it that only 5k miles. after he replace the engine it say in his barn for 7 years. he couldn't figure out why adding new gas new spark plugs wouldn't let the bike start normally after sitting for 6 years. took me two hours to get to his house and then I threw it in my parents van. I'm not sure if I'm going to turn into a fighter or just build it back up again either way it's a new to me bike.

Pulled the carbs and fired the old girl up this morning, changed fuel, fuel filter, and added some sea foam. She has a slight sluggish feel in mid range but she does idle and over all drive well. Brakes are good. Bought some new rubber that has to be put on Monday and started cleaning the bike up to see what else is needed.

I'm am stoked that I have a fully functional VFR. I figured for 6 hundred why not get a whole bike instead of just a single sided swing arm. I am also impressed that I got the carbs cleaned on the first run. They where a Bitch to get out and clean with pine sol. Took it for several loops stood the block and the deep mellow tone from the Yoshi exhaust was music to my ear.

Nothing that different than any other body work conversion. Used the old bracket but banged the crap out of it. Had to bend the Speedo up a little. It took a lot of measuring, cutting, etc. when the race kit arrived it was not pre drilled. I have to go back at a later time to fiberglass strengthen some spots. Will shop around for some hid fog lights to install later also. In the mean time I ask using a wave headlight under the fairing.

Made a quick 20$ exhaust to open up the tire. It is loud, but gives me the look I want until I find the right exhaust. This took around two full days of working on the bike to get it to this point.

I want to ride do the subframe swap will gadget to wait for time and money. In the mean time I raised the angle of subframe around 5 degree, but curing and making holes in upper rail that are a inch or two back. I also cut the seat down to better match fairing and kept part of original side cover for electronics.

I am waiting for my windscreen to arrive, the Ebay seller sent me colored bolts, and has not replied to my Paypal dispute yet.

Enough talk, here are Sommer pictures

Thank you all for comments. It's far from done. But needed a daily as my street fighter needs a lot off work to get it were I want it.

    I lowered the fairing some.

I am also bidding on some seats for the subframe swap I want to do when I get back from vacation. I plan on under tail exhaust and r1 sub
