I just waxed her up and she's darn near perfect, at least as far as I'm concerned.

I like decals as y'all can see. I've painted a couple of stock parts to make them nicer.

Your thoughts and advice for further mods, small and large?

    Rich

Except for the flat area in the middle of your back tire, that's a damn fine specimen! Looks great~

She look fantastic Rich .......seen you ask I will response:potstir:
White rims would make the bike stand out. Put some gas go for a ride and have more pictures of the Ole girl in action in stead

Another vote for white rims, I have them on my '01 and so far everyone that's seen them said the same thing, almost verbatim..."Those white wheels really make it pop!" And that rear tire should be changed soon...other than that very clean machine!

one thing I've noticed about 6th gen is as far as part's for mod's there cheaper, so the list is endless, idk how suspension is on 6th gen but if it's like the fifth do the 929 mono shock, werks competition fender eliminator kit, smoked turn signals and tail light(depending on where you live), de-link brake system, steal braided brake lines, aftermarket exhaust, block off reed tubes w marble and ziptie to disable pair problems, pcv and go to vfrdiscussion and download the cozy map it's unbeleavable what that map will do but I had mine dynode with that map and it's the best map I've seen, heli-bars, the list goes on, but beautiful bike and take care of her and she'll last forever, I had to spend months doing the neglected maintenance on my girl cause previous owner didn't do it

I initially did not like the scheme on the RWB. Some how my mind has changed. Looks good my man. As for those rear tires, other than the ridge, looks like there is lots of life left in them. Stickers and decals......pfft...... Each to their own!

I was wondering just how a 7 year old bike could look so pristine. (Other than the boo boo on the crank case cover). Then I saw that you only had 26K miles on it and you are from Texas where your 'shit for weather' is an exception rather than a rule.

I think the decal on the windscreen is obstructing your view and should be removed. :potstir:

Trust me, bro, I'm working on the mileage

I bought her in March 2012 with 7500 miles on the clock. I gave up my car at the same time, and went VFR 100% of the time. I ride in the heat, rain, and everything else. There has literally been only ONE time that I took my wife's car to work, and that was because she made me.

So, 19000 miles in about 15 months = 1200 miles a month :chaingun:

The scratched crankcase cover happened in the same spot where I took the pictures. I was rolling out the bike and the kickstand caught the lip of the garage approach and fell over right. Now I sit on the bike to roll it out!

I appreciate all of the advice and the love! I hope to do some more mods soon and will keep this list handy.

Haha, unless you're a Texas State Trooper, I'll keep it, thanks

A little Rich trivia: I used to be the bus driver for the Texas A&M football team. I'd take them to all of their away games. Really hard to do that and not become a huge fan. I miss it, but the company lost the contract when they upgraded to motorcoaches with wifi and monitors in each seatback.

    Still a huge Aggie fan!

Now I don't feel so bad about mine getting scratched from the wind tipping my bike over. At least it wasn't in the garage and I wasn't around.

First RWB Ive seen with black wheels. That piece on the bottom of your fender eliminator under your plate, is it rubber and did you make it ?

    I wouldn't call them black. I believe it's a charcoal/dark gray powder coat.

On my bike the back wheel is the stock color I mentioned above. My front wheel is off a 2002 model and is a glossy black. They are mismatched for now because I bent my rims (hitting a 4x4 piece of lumber) and, since I don't have a car, I had to buy a replacement wheel in order to have the stock wheel repaired.

The stock wheel is repaired and hanging in my garage. I was going to wait until I get new tires to swap it back out but I may get it powder coated a new color while it's off.

What do y'all think of just a stripe of white/other color around the edge of the wheel instead of the whole wheel? I'm afraid of white being a maintenance nightmare since this is my daily rider.

The fender eliminator came with the bike so I don't know what brand etc., but it is hard plastic and is for the required Texas inspection sticker. I'll try to take a few more pics of that area and post them.

Took these this morning for ya Rich just before going for a ride. I'm sure youv'e seen plenty of white rims and Two Bros exhaust. I thought that I'd point out the Oggie Knobs frame sliders (no fairing cutting and very stout) and the carbon fiber dash and triple clamp covers. I cant't tell you a source (if you were enterested) because they were put on by the po and unfortunately he is no longer with us. Enjoy your awesome RWB!
    John

PS. What beautiful weather for riding today in San Diego, hope evryone else is as fortunate.

OK. I'll buy that. Thing is about white wheels though. Even though this bike is your daily commuter, I suspect because it is, it gets washed a little more that the average bike. Mine did when I was working and I am so fuggen sick of washing this thing. But you will just spend a couple more minutes on cleaning the wheels each time. Then they stay in good shape, cleanliness wise anyways. Mine are not white...yet...but even after 100K plus miles, they are still pretty clean.

But I am keeping my eye on you so do what needs to be done.
