Leaking fork seals are due to to either wear or shrinkage (yes I know), either way oil is squeezing past the seals onto the fork slider.

This can be fixed by using a product that I have been using on my Beechcraft Bonanza's struts for years. It's called Granvilles Strut seal.
You can get it from Aircraft Spruce or Chief Aircraft. Simply drain some of the fork oil out, add the strut seal (which is oil as well), and let it do its magic.
Manufacture claims it softens the rubber seals and reconditions them, I can attest to the fact that it DOES work, on planes and motorcycle forks. I've seen zero
    ill effects in using it.

Usually takes about 3 days for the it to stop the leaking completely. It works as long as you have the stuff in, and is FAA Certified.

If the fork seals are 'worn out'. Its best to pull the forks down, properly clean all the old oil out and inspect the internals for any additional issues or wear.

Just dumping a product in to re-seal the leak doesnt actually fix the problem.

It is my hope that you forgot to add: "Granvilles Strut Seal is a good temporary fix if you are out on a road trip and need to address a leaky fork seal. That way you can limp back home without further damage being done to your fork if all the oil leaked out and save from costly on the road repairs.

Great idea but will it fix slightly pitted forks, I've put new seals in a 54 Enfield Meteor and it still leaks from one tiny little bit of pitting

I drain the old oil, clean with new, add the Granvilles and fork oil and go riding. If it still leaks then the seal has been torn or is beyond repair and needs replacing. If it holds, then your good to go.

Nope, only works on shrunken or worn rubber seals. Does not fix mechanical problems or pitted forks.

No unless your forks are FAA certified this stuff will not work.

The rule for post resurrection is "only if you start with BITE ME".

    The winning number are 45 67 89 10 11 12 13 or some combination of said numbers.
