    Hi all,
Thought I'd share a story and some photos of my trip last week to the mountains in Western North Carolina and South Carolina.

I just bought by VFR (2007 non-ABS) back in July of this year and absolutely love it. I’ve been doing a lot of track riding on my other bikes (GSXR & KTM supermoto) and this is the first real street bike I’ve had in close to 10 years. I usually go down to the mountains down south to ride the KTM a couple times a year but it is down at the moment so I thought I’d take the VFR instead for something a little different.

I spent a week down there with friends riding everything from the Spartansburg, SC area up to Asheville, then over to the Tail of the Dragon in Robbinsville, NC. I really put the bike through its paces and it and its tires really earned their keep :) The bike did a lot better than I was expecting and I had an absolute blast. I got a lot of great comments on the bike and everyone was impressed with how well it handled the curves.

While at the Dragon I also made the Killboy.com highlights and US129photos.com selected a photo of the bike as one of their photos of the week.

Please vote for my photo at US129Photos.com.
If I get the most votes I’ll get a sweet poster sized print of it to hang in my garage:

Righr now you have 57 votes, the closest competitor has 54 (ape hanger Harley crashing into a car), then all the rest are in single digits. Good luck!

Great pics!! It really goes to show that the VFR is much more "Sport" than "Touring"

I saw you leave the store either on Thursday or Saturday, don't remember for sure. We certainly could'nt complain about the weather!
Those are great photos. Killboy and the others do really nice work.
There are four ways to get on Killboys weekly highlight page-------Looking good and doing it right, riding or driving something unique, doing something stupid or just crashing. You represented the VFR folks by looking good and doing it right!

Just voted and now your at 189. Bunch of buddies at work voted for ya as well. Good luck, and by the way, you had the nicest looking bike in the photos. Not that we could be considered at all partial, NOOOOO! Not us, not on the VFR site. LOL

Thanks. I agree with you. The VFR ended up being a better sport bike than I expected.

We rode up from SC Thursday afternoon, made a couple runs then spent the night at the motel at the Dragon. We made a couple more runs friday morning and then headed out. The little motel was inexpensive and clean. Can't beat the location either!
