I just rebuilt the carbs on a 86 vfr700, but it has no top end power. will pull all the way to red line smoothly but it feels like it can't get out of it own way.

    need help

Sure, it's slow if you just got off a V-Max or ZRX !!!!

What was it running like before your :nelson::nelson: repairs ?? :party2:

And exactly what did that consist of ?? Jets need to be cleaned by hand, not just soaked and blown, for example.

Running on all cylinders, inspecting sparkplugs are good places to start looking for low power. Ever done a compression test on 'er ?? Mileage and and history of the bike if you know ??

Problem could due to dozens of possible defects.

Cleaned carbs by hand , synced and changed spark plugs.

I did bleed the clutch . There was no feel in the lever . Could the clutch be bad and slipping? Is there a way to test ?

    Only 14,000 miles

If clutch is slipping high revs don't match high speed.

What speed do you have at redline in top gear ??

In first it takes me about an 1/8mile to get to 12 and I'm only going about 30-40.

It feels torquey down low but it just dosen't Pull through the powerband.
