Is it worth it getting a rear wheel from a 5th to fit the 4th gen bike, is there a real difference in grip Seen a clip on youtube and i wanted to get your opinions on it
Wheels dont change anything but style and aerodynamics. You want better tires, what are you running on and what type of riding are you doing/trying to do? Also check your preloads. Set your suspension up for the type of riding and your style of riding. Even crap tires can be decent if the suspension is right.
But you can get a 180 instead of the 170 rear tyre on, what im trying to say is "is it really worth it" Just doing normal road riding
You need to know more about tire sizing and profile shape to answer that. Since your only wanting to change the one aspect you will end up with a worse contact patch and way different handling. Simply looking at tire profiles and looking for a more flat profile will give you better grip, but you loose cornering handling. Basically what are you willing to trade?
The bike handling of the bike is excellent, it was just a question its not something i want to change I think bikes like these are better kept standard as much as possible Maybe a nice sounding pipe like a delkevic or similar
The dunlops that come with the bike are pretty horrible. I ran them off and have tried several before settling on what im running now. I had to play with my suspension just to make them tolerable.
