Need to change the (meter) temperature sender, but looks really inaccessible. Is there a posting/sticky anywhere showing the easiest way to accomplish this? maybe moving the loom or possibly the tank? Thanks.

Let us know what year your bike is. My 2002 manual says you have to remove throttle body.

Its rare for a Honda quality temp sensor to go bad. Why do you think you need to change it? I have a naked bike and it was still a pain. The clutch cover side top coolant hose has to come out so whatever it takes to get there is what you need to do.

Its rare, I changed t-stat and changed oot the sensor your tawlking aboot though, just because I thought it was prudent thing to do. And, bike is a 1991. T-stat was broken and not seated well in thermastat housing, a little maintenance goes a long way. Cheers.
