Went to a Pacific Track time event at T-hill.
I took all morning to learn the track. In the afternoon I was doing better with the lines. Talking to a few people about before the session started had me worried about the sport touring tires. So I always waited till I started picking up the bike before getting back on the throttle hard. I knew I could get on throttle harder earlier than I was doing but wasn't sure how hard before the tires will let go. I learnt a lot about the bikes ability and my inability. My body language was all bad. Need to improve that next time.

    I ran 30lbs front and 34lbs rear. I think I should have run 32f/32r

I still had tons of fun and know I am going back for sure. My face still hurts and is distorted a little from all the grinning yesterday :). I will be using the Ninja 250 for future trackdays.

I run PR2's and have been thinking about doing a track day to check my skills too... glad to hear that it's worth it.

If you are on the fence about doing it definitely go to the track. I think you will be fine for the first trackday with the pr2 tires. I was holding back a little because I had that thought about the tires, but it was all in my head. I could have taken 10 secs off my laptime by just trusting the tires a little more and not braking too early and some places not braking at all. Some corners that I should have gone flat out , I was braking a little bit. I reduced the tendency by the last sessions.

Awesome, it's been almost 10 years since I was out at Thunderhill. Brings back memories of turn 14 eating my 600rr. Looks like a great time, good video.

You will love it. Be prepared to go broke though :smug: . Drinking and drugs are probably easier to get out off. I recently fell in love woth supermoto trackdays. Way cheaper than full size trackdays. But I am not giving up big track. This month I have 3 trackdays signed up for. Laguna on the 19th and Thunderhill on 28-29. If all goes well, 1 or 2 supermoto days over the next 2 weeks.

Hopefully next year or the year after I want to head over to your area and ride COTA. Also thinking about the Texas Tornado boot camp. This addiction is way more expensive that you can imagine before you get into it.
