Well heading home from work at 4 pm Thursday in the diamond lane doing around 75 when all of a sudden I'm fishtailing all over the place . Got it to the shoulder to find a slash in my rear tire, never saw anything in the road to hit. So wifey takes the wheel to my tire guy and I get a new PR4, next day come home, mount the wheel . The next morning I come out at 7:30 with all my gear on to head to work and my battery is dead as a door nail WTF is happening. While at work , have a buddy go get me a new battery was $129 sealed gel and got it for $73. Get home ,install it and nothing, click-click WTF is going on. Put my tickle charger on the intire night and go out at 6:30am the next day and she starts right up BITCHIN, let it run for about 20 minutes and turn her off. Go inside get my shit ready for work , get the gear on and go to start my bike NOTHING, WTF is going on. Took the battery to were I got it this morning and the guy checks it out , fully charged but cranking amps are only at 55, should be around 235. He's all I have never seen this before FIGURES. Brought it home installed it and holy crap that new battery works...never seen my bike turn over so fast . So I gather the bike gods are a little pissed off at me for flipping off that old lady Thursday morning that almost took me out getting on the freeway.
Soooooo hows your week going ????????

some of my indirect superiors want me to do something that is ethically questionable and can't understand why I don't want to submit something to a state agency that even the agency's supervisor told me would be rejected.

thats how my week has gone so far...

The post above about ethics brought to you by the guy with an old dude flipping through juggs magazine for an avatar.

    Last week:

Almost dropped my bike in the driveway but caught myself by caving in the fender of my car with my elbow instead.

Electric grips ran the bike battery dead sitting at work, jumped it, drove two blocks and some other electrical problem killed it.

Pushed bike back to bosses house, borrowed his new VMAX to get home and his bar end mirror falls off on the interstate.

Hauled my bike home and it still sits broke down until I can find the time.

its a little more questionable than looking at some titties. there's nothing wrong about looking at titties...whether in person, in print or through some binoculars...not that i'd know about that last one...

Told them I want his head on a pike. Ya shit happens huh?.

My wife got me a 3 year membership with the AMA, free towing and such. Get a nice monthly magazine etc. I got a flat while I was riding years and years ago, it was not a slash but a puncture, I started to fish-tail and was like "hmmm, maybe I should roll on the gas some more and see if it goes away." It did'nt, but I was able to get to a service station and use some air to get home, used a bmw tyre plug kit and bought a new tyre the next day. That was back when the gas stations gave you free air and water.

Good idea to have sliders-frame and bar end sliders, folding levers too. Little things add up to a great bike. My bar end came loose a while back-used some Loctite seems to work. Very windy riding yesterday, just about blowing me off the road. Time to Bigger wind screen.:yo::mechanic:

Yea...I have that $10 compressor and a plug kit from the 'slime' brand. I also picked up a cigarette lighter socket and soldered on some alligator clips to hook to the battery. I store it under the seat cowl on my 5th gen (I cut away the passenger part so now I have a nice little trunk). I have yet to use it but it there if anything goes wrong with my tire, or anyone in the group has an issue.

This mainly came about when riding back from longs with silversurfer and he had his rear go flat twice in about 5 miles. barely had enough co2 cartridges to get him to a station so I figured a compressor would do the trick in the future.

Those BMW repair kits weren't pretty but they really worked great... I'm wondering how this dude got 300,000 miles on a set of tires?

Ya know what follows AAA is BBB. The ABC's of which are, we sound great and fuck you very much....Calling, writing or Emailing either gets you nowhere. Showing up on the doorstep at opening time will get you results by the first coffee break.

Tow companies are noted for their compassionate ways...

Did I include a few insurance agents who are always elsewhere until ya go there?

If that's who sold you some tires, I need new tires too. Two sets in fact. ;)
