Oddly enough my old man found a small pile of 78s in his garage cleanup last week, no idea what's on them though.

    Got Milk?

Ol Gene was a smart cookie. Not only did he become a major movie star he ended up owning among other properties, KTLA-TV in Los Angeles.

    Nice bio here:

If this station streams, what is needed are the call letters. FM (frequency modulation) is line of sight and limited because of distance and obstacles. AM (amplitude modulation) "travels" thousands of miles.

What the Wolfman had going for him was a AM broadcast of relatively low wattage going into Mexico where the FCC has no jurisdiction. FCC regs limit AM wattage at 50kw. The transmitter in Mexico was blasting out at 250kw. Depending on the quality of a receiver, I know of one AM station in Houston that has regular listeners on a drilling platform off the coast of Chile...

Plus "Da Wolfman" was a great DJ...

In keeping with revisiting my Grunge phase found this '92 L7 song " Pretend We're Dead " Vid on Youtube where Donita Sparks takes her pants off at the songs end and walks around the stage, wish I was in the UK audience that day.

Not expecting you to like them but in the mid '80s used to see a raw punk grunge band called the " Cosmic Psychos " many times in seedy pub venues who've been credited to inspiring early '90s grunge bands like L7, Nivarna and Pearl Jam.

L7 is between L6 and L8. Lunch that day was on the almost opposite side.

She's amazing. Known for her Rockabillie, but she does great Blues too.

If you're into Blues at all, I just got a couple new albums, both are great; Oli Brown Here I am, and Sam Fish Black Wind Howlin'. Both young Blues artist who are really coming into their own.

For some reason I keep listening to this song by French Band " La Femme " , worth listening with headphones or speakers with good Bass, reminds me a bit of the "The Cure" with a hint of Surf band about it, the female singer is not a bad sort either.
