Rosie is, has been and always will be a doofus. She's a media whore who doesn't have a real outlook on life outside a studio, where she can stirr things up without consequences. I'm not nor have been with the military but COME ON. If they fire Imus for racial slurs of a basketball team, they should FIRE this bitch TODAY for calling our own troops terrorists...

Things suck in Iraq, sure, thats easy to see. But, it's not as if we (me and my fellow Soldiers, Airmen Sailors and Marines) have any choice in whether or not we deploy. Laws are passed, policies are made, we get orders, we deploy. Period. No choices, no voting or say from the troops.

We miss births, birthdays, funerals, holidays, anniversaries, reunions, summers with the family, our VFR and everything else you are free to enjoy with your family....
.....and we do it for you, your family, your neighbors and friends AND even Rosie the Stupid Fat Whore.

I try to not to talk politics on open forum, but man, she really strikes a nerve. I could not resist. Man, R.W. I was having a such a nice, peaceful Sunday afternoon.

She has inspired me to pull out my (terrorist) guns and head to the range this week to exercise my 2nd Amendment rights; and I will do so in her honor, of course. I would buy some paper targets of her to aim at, but given the enormous size of her bay window-sized ass, it would be waaay too easy, a real fish-in-a-barrel (ass) situation. She would make a better target for the Mark 19 genade launcher range on Bragg instead.

Like KC-10, I'm in the Air Force. It's our duty to protect the Constitution. I didn't have to re-enlist, but I enjoy what I do. The military provides for me pretty well, and we get some "unique" travel opportunities. It's her right to be a blabbermouth, and we have to protect people like her. Like it or not, we don't get a choice in the matter. If she knew how many aircraft that I have sent out fully loaded, then came back empty, she would hate me. Unfortunately there aren't too many celebrities that get press for being military friendly. This past Tuesday Gary Senise and the Lt. Dan Band made a stop here at Spangdahlem Air Base for a free concert. The show was pretty good, and he really seemed to enjoy being here. The media concentrates on the negative, hardly talks about the positive. It's just the way things are. Let her talk, she's only alienating, and discredting herself.

 

The first amendment right gives EVERYONE the right to FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Regardless of the content or context, that person has the RIGHT to say whatever they want.
The men and women of the military who have SWORN to defend the Constitution should understand that they DEFEND ALL of the rights for ALL of the citizens of the United States of America.

Well I'm ex military as well and also from a country supporting the coalition. So my 2c as well. I'm also informed enough to know that the majority of deaths in Iraq are being caused by the playing off of the countries religious groups by internal and external groups with vested interests in the whole thing.

Wrong, wrong, wrong to point the finger of 'blame' for the terrible loss of life at the men and women carrying out their respective governments orders.

Only in todays paper was there a story about an Iraqi official asking that Australia not 'cut and run'.

Rosie sounds like she would have been one of those people who spat on the troops returning from Vietnam - cow.

Everyone is so quick to point out we won WWII in 4 years, yes we did, and we and our allies never could have with the sustained negative input the press would have given us with 24 hr newscoverage. Can you imagine Chris Matthews complaining about how the battle of the Bulge wasn't worth the sacrifice or Mt Suribachi, or any major engagement you can think of.

I'm a Naval research engineer and it irks me that people have a negative reaction when I tell them who I work for. Since when was supporting the greatest country on Earth reason for people to judge you harshly?? I dislike all the armchair generals/admirals.

Its true, wars like WWII could never have been won if the public eye was on every battle. We lost so many in just a few hours in both theaters, can you IMAGINE the headlines?
