    Hey guys,
This is my first post so please go easy on me... :eagerness:
Just last Sunday I bought my first road-bike which is an oldie but a goodie, a 2001 model VFR800. It's blue in colour (my favorite) with grey wheels and has seen some riding with a total of 86,000km on the clock. It runs exceptionally well, in-fact considering how well it runs you wouldn't even know its done so many km's. Only thing is that the fuel tank has faded heaps and almost looks like a pink/purple pearl colour instead of the original blue.

Must say I instantly fell in love with it as soon as I first rode it. I was expecting it to be a little lacking in power but quite surprised, once you get these things over about 7,000rpm they really start to boogey

It has a Staintune muffler on it and a givi rack which I'm finding handy to stop my son from sliding off the back :tranquillity: otherwise to my knowledge its stock standard.

I live way-down-under in Tasmania (gods country for riders), Australia where there is a good mix of scenic rides and twisty hills to ride to fulfill the desire of the day.

Looking forward to learn more about this wonderful bikes by reading your forum as you share your knowledge.

Welcome to The World Wombat! We can go a little easy on you as you did post a pic of your ride with your introduction. If you had not, all bets would have been off and then an onslaught of berating and insults, so points for you there. Nice score BTW, congratulations on your new to you ride.

    Cheers!
