I'm new to this forum so sorry if this is a repeat question. I'm purchasing a 2005 VFR this weekend which is stock. I've owned two vfr's in the past so I'm familiar with the bike to say the least. I've been lucky that in the past, the bikes came to be with aftermarket exhaust. One with a remus and the other a 2 brothers.

What are people in favor of and why for the 2005 model? I do have the luggage so I also wonder if fitting the new cans can be an issue with factory honda luggage?

I see that two brothers routes back into only one can. Curious of the benefits, etc.. Also, seems to be a near $2,000.00 investment when it's all said and done, is this correct?

    Thanks for your answers.

I have the same problem. An 06 with stock pipes.:frown:
I'm leaning towards Leo's or Remus, but they have got to be loud!
You couldn't pay me to run a fake pipe on my bike. 2 Bros is out!

VFR Girl, how do you know Hindle pipes fit 6th gen?
Their web site doesn't list them.

I have the BOS GP-1's and love them. www.bosexhausts.com Pics are in my gallery. It has very similar shape as the stockers so mounting luggage shouldn't be a problem.

I've read the threads on this but I wonder about passing emissions later down the road.
    Any thoughts?

It is a good bit louder but not obnoxiously so. If you are looking for something track worthily loud you wont be satisfied.

emissions have nothing to do with the stock mufflers. the cat takes care of all the crap in the exhaust. the mufflers just quiet the exhaust a bit.

    Try the free way first

Based on the audio clips, I would try going with the gutted factory pipes first. I'm not an obnoxious loud pipe guy, but the gutted ones sounded nice. If you don't like it you can always purchase the others.

Installed Scorpion pipes on my 05 VFR and am very satisfied. Perfect fit, great sound and look good. In fact they are identical to Hindle. Paid $600
