32,700 miles. Always garaged and maintained. Owner is an older rider. Never took it above 150 mph...one time only. Very clean. Two Brothers Exhaust.
Kelly Blue Book only rates CBR's on it's motorcycle value site, so am looking for a little help.

If I am a buyer 3k would be fair, but if I am a seller than I would ask for $3800 and work my way down

Kelly Blue book as 2600 as retail. Nada has 1900-2500.

I'm with the above posts, start over 3500 and take as low as 3000, maybe 2500 if you need the sale done.

If it was over here you would be looking at about £1900 - £2400 whatever that is in pretend money!

I just bought a 2001 with 29K for $2600. It needed about $200 in repairs to upper plastics. It is box stock, with K&N air filter. So, your bike, in Oregon/Washington would likely fetch high $2000's. Not a big demand for these bikes here; I was definitely in the driver's seat, because sellers were getting little interest.

Hi - New member, new motorcycle rider, new VFR owner. I am in Ohio and bought a 1999 VFR800 in April. Original owner, kept it in his house, has 17,000 miles, owner claims to have done 16,000 maintenance, as a new bike owner it looks new to me, spotless. Has Two Brothers, ECU, and the windshield is an over-sized GIVI. He did not tell me this, it does not start cold the first time, other than that it performs flawlessly. (Maybe fast idle needs slighly more choke?) He asked $3500 and I paid $3300, right in line with estimates above. My opinion from my shopping experience and the comments above is, similar model bikes from that time period may be in the $2,000's range, but where supply is low, or there are VFR fanatics, or both, the price is higher for this particular bike. I saw some better deals in PA but as a novice did not want to ride the bike back, on the turnpike of all things! But yes from Craigslist there appear to be definite regional differences.

Now that I own the bike, and after getting it from a recommendation from a trusted friend, I have quickly developed a love of this bike. Call me a fanatic like you. It is so perfectly balanced and easy to ride, its nuts. So I think $3300 for this awesome bike, that I may have the rest of my life, is probably a very high satisfaction to price ratio.

I know w/o pics it didn't happen on the Internet. I've been concentrating all on riding but know pics, tool collection, and a couple small tweaks to the bike can come later. [edit - I added a pic to my profile]
