I hope this is not the way Native Americans are treated in other parts of OZ.

Wait a minute! A few pages back it was asserted that Harleydoods were overwhelmingly republicants and/or just too stupid to think beyond what their buddies tell them. Maybe in Queensland, Dems and Repubs are very different than here in the USA. I think labeling wannabe outlaws and pirates with a political affiliation would be unfair.

    Not by me.

Not really - unionised, lazy, dimwitted Harley owners = Democrat voters.

^See what I did there? I labeled and yet admonished labeling. That's called humor or maybe a poor excuse for it. Most of the HD owning folks I know are staunchly republican/libertarian types. I'd be glad to debate the pros and cons of unions and various political views but this is not the thread for that. Yes I know, it has been mentioned and I participated.

    Lest we forget:

This one may be just a story.. Howard Hughes once had a steam car built. Unlike older steam cars this one used flash type tubes to convert the water into steam. When asked where the tubes were located the builder told Huges that the tubes were in the walls of the body. Hughes had the car junked.

Maybe HD is getting subsidies from "uncle sam" for developing a green motorcycle. When I used to race, I had an electric scooter called a City Bug, it had a bunch of batteries and was pretty cool as a "pit bike" every bastard used to borrow it and run the batteries down on me, the propulsion was pretty cool too, it would just pull away withoot a sound. I replaced the batteries once which was not that expensive. The rig ended up getting binned ultimately by me when I needed more room.

I walk my dog in my neighborhood and pass a house with a Chevy Volt. I laugh every time I see it plugged in. Really? Was oot with a childhood friend the other day, he was on his third Lexus, one of them was a fancy hybrid rig, he mentioned that the batteries went bad on that car and it cost $6000 to replace. Seriously? He said he would never get another hybrid vee-hickle.

Why would anyone want an electic motorcycle? I know they have races for them, Isle of Mann comes to mind, which I never follow. I will stick with carburetors and spark plugs and one battery for starting duties. Cheers happy riding

I would suggest that on this particular bike that the positive and negative battery terminals be clearly marked.
