I just bought a 1998 VFR 800 that was crashed. I've searched the internet extensively and it seams like 1998-2001 VFR 800 is the only bike in the world that no one makes aftermarket body panels for. Honda wants almost $500 a piece. Does anyone know of an aftermarket company that manufactures body parts for the above machine? Thanks for your help!

I guess it really depends on what you are looking for. I don't know if Meijer makes aftermarket panels or not. If you are looking for replacement panels I think the OEM products is about the only way you can go.

War Eaglke makes this for a 2000 VFR 800:

And they make a lower fairing for a 2000 model:

Neither is inexpensive. In fact, replacemnt plastic is going to be expensive any way you go.

    The main URL is:

Just click on bodywork on the menu to the left.

    Body stuff

I have a gas tank, front fender, right lower and tail cowl. No tabs missing, scuffed paint but very usable. If you are interested, $200.00 for the lot plus shipping. Email for pics to mike.waldron@pgnmail.com

Look On Ebay For Vfrchuck At Cobalt Racing. DON'T BUY MAIER PRODUCTS, THEY DON'T FIT. TO SMALL. VFRCHUCK MAKES HIS FAIRINGS OUT OF HAND LAYERED FIBERGLASS. HE HAS BEEN MAKING THEM 20 PLUS YEARS. VFRCHUCK@BRIGHT.NET OR *82 1-740-474-9256. HE IS VERY REASONABLE. AND WILLING TO HELP YOU ANYWAY HE CAN. HE MAKES ALL FAIRINGS AND GAS TANK.

I know this is an old thread but since it's been rehit again, servicehonda.com is the cheapest I've seen for the stock plastic. the side panels are 284.50 which is pretty cheap compared to other stuff I've looked at and that is already painted.

    Parts search

If you have not found the parts yet, you can check ebay or you can look on line at the motorcycle salvage yards and call them to locate parts more cheaper. Good luck!

I've just recently bought an entire kit, as I picked up a 98 vfr that was laid over myself.
    Honda VFR800 Fairings

You can pick entire kits up (They even give you a box of hardware!) for under 600. Enjoy.

Let us know how this turns out. I bought some eBay fairings and may as well flushed the money. They were so bad I refused to install them on my bike.

We'll see... They've been on backorder for a while now.
