I just acquired a mint 92' VFR750 in black this spring and I can't wait to get it up in the mountains. I'm in Savannah, GA and summer riding here is hot and pretty boring. A riding buddy (now residing in Pittsburgh) and I are meeting up for our fourth summer ride in the mountains Thursday, July 31st, Friday, August 1st, and Saturday, August 2nd at Deals Gap. Anyone interested in riding with us any or all of those days is welcome to join us. I've also booked a room for myself for Friday, July 12th and Saturday, July 13th, to get a little more twistie time in, and the same invitation goes for that weekend. If you never been in the area, the riding is pretty amazing there. The Dragon is a great road and lots of fun, but the whole area is really great riding, and it doesn't get much prettier !!!
We have 4 so far: myself, my buddy John on his ZX-10, his son on a Honda Shadow cruiser, and a friend on a Busa. We have an apt room reserved at the Gap which can sleep six, so there's room for another very cheap. I'm trailering. If you'd like to join us you could trailer up with me or meet us there. I'll be in Chimney Rock that weekend. It's about a 2+ hr ride for me, but I might try to meet up and join you for one of those days.
Great weekend. We escaped most of the rain. Fun runs on the Dragon, the road to Fontana Dam, and others. Going back in the fall.
