So i was searching the forum and i am trying to see all of the exhausts available for the viffer12 that fit with the honda or other hard side cases. I really like the look of the competition werkes but it looks like it would pound hot exhaust on the bottom of the bags.

Please post up some pics, where you got it, price, dyno sheets, etc. Thanks in advance.

I'm not saying some of the other pipes won't work with the Honda bags or Givi's, but after reviewing quite a few and what THEY say is compatible, my conclusion is that the low mount Akropovic may be one of the few bets. the Leo Vince is likely the other. Problem is, the Leo Vince may not be available anymore.

I'd love to have either but that's a pretty penny.

i stand corrected. the 2bros vale, remus hexagon, DAM, scorpion, and arrow all fit with the bags. a little change of the wording in google brought up some pics. And of course we all know the akra and leo vince work.

Can someone with an akra measure the distance from the ground to the highest point and from the ground to the lowest point on the can. With it on the side stand please.

    Thanks in advance.

Very pleased with my Akro. Put baffle in for inspection, as quiet as stock. And, it is surprizingly far from obnoxious with the baffle out.

hi just a quick one, did you have to get a fuel management system installed for an aftermarket exhaust ?

I put an Akra on mine and if anything I think low speed fueling was a little better.

This winter mine is getting a de-cat job and an ECU reflash. So nice not to have an add on fuel manager and just have the fuel map fixed during the reflash!

hm..yeah probably I'm a bit confused as there some people saying that you can't remap a motorcycle ECU due to some specifics its made, it can be adjusted but can't be changed, so if changing and air filter/exhaust better of to get fuel management system in place, will see I got a bazzaz full system waiting just to get my exhaust delivered, will put all together and fingers crossed money will be well spent :)

Don Guhl has cracked the code on re flashing the vfr1200 ECU. Repprts have been extremely positive. He can put a custom map in as well.

I've had the Low-Mount Akro on my bike for nearly 2 years now-no problems at all with regard to factory luggage compatibility. No real gains in performance -[Dyno chart supplied by Akropovic shows a gain of around 2-4 hp across the range] ,but sounds great with the baffle out [1 bolt-5 minutes].

Is it a matter of them being videos, or is it just me? Every single video on youtube I've seen (and I swear I've watched almost all of them) of VFR1200 exhausts, they all sound like garbage... I've watched videos for DAM, Comp Werkes (the 1 guy who made 2 vids anyway), 2bros, arrow, raptor, barracuda, bos, akra, devil, mivv, etc. In each the bike either sounds like an ATV, or it sounds like a 250cc single.

Is it a matter of the exhaust being choked by the cat, a matter of poor video quality, or is the engine note of this bike a lost cause? To my ears, most aftermarket exhausts actually sound worse than the OEM. How the heck did Honda manage to make a 1200cc V4 sound this horrible?
